Why I Reopened Tara Giles Photography in Puyallup: The Story Behind the Lens
After a couple of years away from photography, I’m beyond excited to announce that Tara Giles Photography is officially back! Photography has always been more than just a career for me – it’s been part of who I am since 2013.
A Decade of Capturing Stories
For 10 years, I photographed high school seniors, families, and destination sessions across the country – from Puyallup, WA and all over the South Sound, to sunny California and Texas. I loved capturing milestones and creating images that told each person’s unique story in a memorable way.
When life led me in a different direction for a while, I knew in my heart I’d eventually find my way back behind the lens. That time away gave me space to grow, reflect, and return with a renewed appreciation for photography.
Back and Better Than Ever
Now that I’m reopening my business, I’m doing it with a fresh perspective, new inspiration, and the same passion for creating portraits that feel real and joyful.
I’ve refined my process to make every session easy, fun, and completely focused on you. Every client now receives high-resolution digital images and an online gallery -so you can enjoy, download, and share your photos effortlessly.
What Photography Means to Me
What I’ve always loved most is watching people light up when they see themselves through my lens: the confidence, the laughter, the connection. That’s what I want to bring to every senior, every family, and every business I photograph.
Whether we’re shooting in a sunlit field in Puyallup, downtown Tacoma, or your favorite South Sound location, my goal is always the same: to create portraits that reflect who you are and celebrate this moment in your life.
Let’s Create Something Beautiful
If you’ve been thinking about booking portraits, I’d love to work with you. Whether it’s celebrating a senior year in Puyallup, updating family photos in Tacoma, or showcasing your brand throughout the South Sound, this is your moment – and I’d be honored to capture it.
